I love kids. I love my own children and I love my clients. Children are resilient and amazing, and I consider it an honor and a joy to work with them. As a mom, I know the struggles of parenting. And yes, even therapists’ kids have tantrums! Bringing together my training and experience as a counselor along with my life experience as a mom and my passion for helping kids allows me to work with children and families for positive change in a variety of areas.
At the end of the day, we all want to feel loved, secure, and connected with the people we love. Children are no different! Their problematic behaviors are a signal that something is off and they need help. I love coming alongside children and families to help determine what is going on underneath the issues the child is having and work together for lasting change.
I enjoy working with young children and their families and utilize a holistic, relationship and play-based approach. I apply models that are grounded in developmental theory and understand the impact and effect that trauma and stress can have on children. I want to help you gain understanding and learn how to soothe the difficulties your child and family are experiencing – for a better, happier, and healthier relationship.
